TCCarolyn Ezzy was born into a musical family and started piano lessons at age five.  She had the good fortune to have a music shop owner for a father, so she experimented early-on with recording, working with various keyboards and drum machines, and during this time she worked on songwriting and composition, which she continues to do today.  While in high school in Northern Maine she played in a piano bar playing several of her own compositions.  She first heard Steely Dan around that time and has since been a fan of Donald Fagan and Walter Becker’s music. Gary Comingore - Trumpet:

Gary landed his first professional engagement when his father gave him a quarter to go play anywhere else. From such humble beginnings, a musician was formed. Gary was eventually accepted into the Jazz/Studio Music program at the prestigious University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where he languished for a couple of years before setting out on the road for a lifetime of hedonistic pleasure and musical performance. His catchphrase became "Whatever the gig requires," which lead to purchasing and learning to play Latin Percussion instruments. Sadly, all of this came to an end when no one in his immediate family would give him any more money, nor allow him to "crash" in their homes. During this "lost" period, Gary played with Glenn Bowles, "The World's Most Precise Elvis Impersonator", the Blue Tater Powerful Music Ensemble, Quiet Fire, Transition, Tranzition, Trademark, the Middletown Symphony Orchestra, the Toby Tyler Three Ring circus under the Big Top, and a plethora of jobs with various religious organizations and other, more secular organizations. While attaining a coveted spot in the Nuclear Medicine Technology program at the prestigious University of Cincinnati, Gary began playing trumpet and percussion with an award winning Latin dance band, Latin Legacy. This association continued for over a decade, and through this association, Gary met and married his one and only wife. Gary eventually caught up with some long time musical friends, and this aggregation spawned a group called "The Maxx." Gary later formed an affiliation with Legend Vega, a singer/songwriter/performer from Puerto Rico/New York City, and became her lead trumpet and sometime musical director. Somewhere along this path, Gary became an ordained minister, and a magician as well as the co-producer of three children. Gary's catchphrase became," No one got hurt, and I got paid. It was a good gig." When he purchased his first CDs, Gary's number one acquisition was "Aja." "I just could not wait to hear how that album would sound in digital," he explained. Gary has been a fan of the work of Becker and Fagen for their highly polished studio work, inventive lyrics, and their musical sensibilities. They proved that hip and commercial are not mutually exclusive, and that complex can be accessible.

Katherine Saunders - Vocals:

Born into a military family, Katherine made her singing debut at the age of three on the steps of Neuschwanstein Castle with an original song entitled I Didn’t Do It.

She grew up in a home of Broadway and opera, and loved to sing along while frolicking about the living room. Her sister Olivia introduced her to Rock and Roll. She reveled in the world of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and so many others. She came to love jazz in high school and dreamed of being like Ella Fitzgerald or Sarah Vaughn.
Katherine has tried her hand at piano, clarinet, guitar and even the auto harp, but never stuck with any of them long enough to become proficient. Her true love is singing. Although shy at first, she joined chorus in middle school and flourished. Since then she has participated in many choirs and a few voice competitions. She has also been involved in several stage productions.
In her free time, Katherine is an avid reader and a lover of films. She's a natural homebody, yet she harbors an adventurous spirit with a heart for travel. This sense of adventure led her to the Steely Dan Tribute project and she is excited to see what the future holds for the band and herself.
